About Us and Giving Back

We are a team of Pokémon fans born and raised in New Zealand. We have been active in Pokémon TCG, for over 15 years! We have battled all around the country ranging from epic battles at our home kitchen tables to many National Championships. We've even been to the World Championships in the US multiple times. 

Pokémon TCG World Championships 2008 in Orlando, Florida, USA - a life changing experience!

The Game Tree was planted (excuse us) in late 2021 as a result of our genuine passion and love for the game and community. We loved the idea of building a store that we would want to shop at ourselves. 

Over the years, we have shopped at countless places both in New Zealand and internationally.

The Game Tree is the result of our unmatched experience buying, selling and trading locally in New Zealand and globally. Our priority is to offer top service, good communication and a competitively priced, exciting product range.

We are in this for the long run. We promise to engage in ethical business practices at all times, and treat you with respect.

As young children, we were taught the well known saying: "treat others how you would like to be treated". We strongly believe this and it is the very heart of our core values.

We are proud to support causes we believe in and give back to the community which we are grateful to be a part of.

In December 2024, we donated $31,500.00 to Surf Life Saving; a New Zealand registered charity. 

We are so proud and grateful to call Aotearoa/New Zealand home. Enjoying beautiful beaches is one of the most special things about our country. Surf Life Saving is a crucial charity which helps everyone enjoy the beaches safely.

We regularly run giveaways and promotions for the NZ Pokémon community. We have supported other charities, donated product to schools, Pokémon clubs etc.
